The Lead Agency Trainer is the strategic architect of our training development strategy, ensuring our independent agency partners are equipped for success. Acting as the "voice of the agency," this role identifies critical learning opportunities and surfaces industry trends to leadership. Beyond curriculum design, the Lead Trainer recommends priority enhancements for systems and technology to improve the agent experience. They serve as a key strategic partner to the Field Marketing team, seamlessly incorporating marketing messaging and brand priorities into all training materials to drive cohesive growth.

The focus for this role is on high-level influence, instructional leadership, and strategic partnership: 

Training Strategy & Innovation: 

  • Strategic Voice: Represents the agency perspective to ensure our training and technology roadmap meets real-world partner needs. 

  • Trend Analysis: Proactively identifies and surfaces agency trends to keep our training programs ahead of the curve. 

Leadership & Influence: 

  • Independent Ownership: Functions as a self-driven leader capable of managing large-scale training initiatives with minimal oversight. 

  • Coaching & Negotiation: Skilled in coaching both internal team members and external partners, while negotiating training priorities with stakeholders. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration: 

  • Marketing Integration: Works in deep alignment with Field Marketing to ensure training content supports broader sales and brand initiatives. 

Project Management: 

  • Execution: Manages the full lifecycle of training development from initial needs analysis to final delivery and measurement.

KPIs

Success is measured by the volume of training reach and the tangible impact on sales results: 

  • Training Reach: Total number of agency trainings held and number of agents trained. 

  • Business Impact: Directly correlated increase in new business production following training interventions.

Learning and Development

The following training/certifications are required for this role:

  • Professional Certifications:  

  • P&C License 

  • ATD (Association for Talent Development) Certification 

  • Core Competencies:  

  • Systems training 

  • Product mastery 

  • Presentation facilitation. 

The following training/certifications are an advantage in this role:

  • Data analysis

  • Deeper knowledge of insurance industry trends and financials
