Role Description

The Senior Subrogation Claims Representative handles complex, high-exposure, and disputed subrogation claims, driving recovery strategy from investigation through resolution. This role serves as a technical expert, operating with a high degree of independence while maximizing recovery outcomes through advanced negotiation, liability analysis, and strategic decision-making. The Senior Representative plays a key role in improving departmental performance, mentoring less experienced team members, and influencing best practices across the organization.

Independently manage complex and high-value subrogation claims, including liability disputes and multi-party exposures
Develop and execute advanced recovery strategies, including escalation, arbitration, and litigation when appropriate
Analyze complex liability scenarios, contractual barriers (e.g., waivers, indemnification), and coverage defenses impacting recovery outcomes
Lead negotiations with adverse carriers, attorneys, and responsible parties to optimize recovery results
Prepare and present compelling demand packages supported by detailed liability and damage analysis
Identify recovery trends and recommend process improvements to enhance overall subrogation performance
Partner with legal counsel and external vendors on disputed or litigated recoveries
Serve as a technical resource and mentor to team members, providing guidance on file strategy and negotiation approach
