Role Overview
Role Description

The Instructional Designer is responsible for working collaboratively with subject matter experts and cross-functional partners in the systematic design, development, and delivery of engaging adult learning experiences. You will be key to creating the organization’s learning and development process, reviewing, innovating, and expanding training collateral for Service, Claims, Sales Development, and external Agency partners.
This role requires implementing advancements and quantifying success, acting as a peer mentor for trainers, and partnering with the Head of Instructional Design to build the appropriate infrastructure to support and enhance the organization’s current learning environment.
Core Responsibilities:

L&D Strategy: Collaborate on the development and implementation of a Learning and Development (L&D) Strategy that fosters a learning culture, leveraging existing collateral and producing a roadmap that demonstrates short-term value while aligning with the longer-term vision.

Standardized Methodology: Build a standardized methodology, similar to the ADDIE Model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate), that can be replicated across the organization.

Content Creation: Independently design, develop, and deliver creative, performance-based training programs, modules, and materials in multiple modalities, including synchronous remote learning, e-learning modules (using tools like Brainshark/Articulate), videos, and guides.

Compliance: Coordinate with Legal and HR for the dissemination of training materials related to Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance topics, including monitoring course completion and effectiveness.

Strategic Partnerships: Partner with the Marketing team on B-to-B training modules and collaborate across the enterprise to drive a holistic, aligned L&D program.

Key Skills & Competencies
This is a senior individual contributor role requiring significant experience in the field of learning design:

Instructional Design Expertise: 5+ years of experience in instructional design techniques, including expertise in developing instructional resources for both classroom and virtual content.

Adult Learning Theories: Deep knowledge of adult learning theories to ensure efficient, effective, and engaging training.

Technology Proficiency: Experience with collaboration tools, digital instructional tools, and Learning Management Systems (LMS).

Role Development

Learning and Development
A Bachelor's degree in Education, Adult Learning, Instructional Systems Design, or a related field is required.
Master's degree in education, Instructional Design, or related field is preferred.
