Who are we?
The Underwriting Department is a team of risk professionals responsible for evaluating, selecting, and managing insurance risk throughout the policy lifecycle. Underwriting partners closely with agents, customers, and cross-functional teams to ensure risks align with company guidelines, appetite, and state regulations while supporting strong customer and agent experiences. The department combines analytical decision-making with relationship management, operational execution, quality oversight, and continuous process improvement. From reviewing new business submissions and inspections to managing renewals, escalations, training, and strategic initiatives, the underwriting team plays a critical role in protecting the company’s portfolio while supporting growth, service, and innovation.
